Oh, thank you. I only have choice of 3 from preset avatars, but I assume that has something to do with my number of posts or something.

You can pick the other radio button to upload your own avatar after pressing 更换头像.
The default is 系统头像 (only 3 presets); you can add a link to your own avatar with 头像链接. You can adjust the width and length of your custom avatar there.

Can I contribute with my scans to any other releases except New Music?

EDIT: Seems like the sell command worked here, but for some reason not in preview. Quite confusing when trying to figure out what is and is not working.

Either way, does this look fine, or should I add/remove/modify anything?

However, would it be possible to compile the various english/international guides into one single thread? Some of the info shared on each covers pretty much the same things but to varying degrees of detail. Wouldn't it be good to just make a single detailed thread which covers everything? Just a thought.

Firstly welcome to the forum, and thanks for the feedback!

The English Guide was written in response to some rules which were regularly being breached (intentionally or not) by international users, and also as a means of giving new users an introduction to the forum. I felt making it too long would mean people would get bored or overwhelmed and give up, or miss out the important stuff (i.e. don't share outside the forum, include EAC logs with your EAC rips). Additionally, including in-depth section-specific rules would have been very confusing, as would have been including the contents of the FAQ, the content of which is mostly things only more experienced users would need to worry about.

So the Guide was only meant to as a "go-to" post for new users and a reference point where people were confused by rules, not as an exhaustive list of rules (which doesn't exist in Chinese either, btw). If someone only reads the Guide, they will understand how to use the forum and not break any major rules, which I think is fine for new users. If new users make a few mistakes but don't breach these core rules, then I think moderators will be very happy at the least
